Trust me it always seems like something simple until I go and try it and something always goes wrong. Could be I drop something and scratch something or whatever. I am going to speak with a friend of mine to see if he may be able to give me a hand with it. Thanks for the tips though they are all very helpful.

Hitman's method works well, and it will remove/replace all of the fluid in a matter of minutes.

I was reading your posts and was reading about it cause my brother's 1999 Mercury Sable LS (has the 3.0 duratec) is moaning when you turn the steering wheel. I can use mercon ATF for the power steering fluid just like I could in my mystique? Also do you know if the setup of the resevoir and hoses should be similar if not the same?
