PCM reprogramming was from the "fix", then.

what was "fix" for? what'd it do? i have no idea what could of been wrong with it. with those "braces" i had the car felt better. i guess they look good, dunno how they could look bad..... unless Type R was on it or somthing

Infamous horsepower "fix" for the 99 Cobras. Involved a mild extrude-honing of the intake manifold (just enough to remove casting flash), lower restriction mufflers (rumor was OE mufflers were fine, this was to make up for lower than expected compression ratio), and a computer flash. Most 99's dynoed about 20hp shy of expected #'s, so post "fix" cobras were right on target.

Tell me you don't hate those seats compared to the Contour. They plain SUCK.
BTW, my friend went to the track with his 99 Cobra with about 500 miles on it. Ripped off a 13.48 @ 103...Bone stock down to the paper filter.

im considering getting a 96 cobra (305hp) adding 4:10 gears and full exhausy and then enjoying mid to low 13's....
anybody know how much they are going for??
