the warranty on the bad wiring in the engine bay is
100, 000 miles or 10 yrs. it was extended due to most cars in 95 and 96 had the insulation on the electrical wires falling off.. i was in ford dealership the other day to buy some hoses(emission hoses).. i talked to the service guy and told him that i dont want to get it done now, but will bring it in a week or so.. electric wires for a/c high pressure cut off came togethere and blew the charge in the a/c system last year.. i corrected the wires by going to ace hardware store and bought some liquid tape... small $3-$4.00 can of stuff with a brush in the can to paint the wires with a liquid rubber stuff.. worked great on the a/c wires, lucky it blew the charging fitting, only $20.00 part.. now i see the wires going to the coil, the map sensor, and about 4 to 6 different places flaking off. i got only 50,000 miles and its a 96 so i got 2 more years...
i could not get any definite answers from the service guy of what they will do, but it ran the vin. no in the computer and he said its covered, i would have to leave the car there for about a week for them to fix it.........
