... advange of my newly optimized y-pipe? Right now I have the stock exhaust piping with removed resonater and Flowmaster muffler. Also, does anything else needed to be done to my intake (stock K&N replacement) to exploit the y-pipes full potential. Thanks.

Think about it for a second and the answer should come to you.

If not then...

I guess I just worded my question wrong(poorly). Would it be worth it to go 2.5" piping just to get x amount of HP more or should I just say "F--- it, I've got 7 year old car, with an ATX and a tiny little V6" and not worry about squeezing every last HP out of something that is never going to be fast enough for me or anything else on the road. That is what I wanted to know. Instead, I got brutally told by Demon, I feel like such an idiot.

Best bang for the buck is to pick up a used SVT exhaust.

If that's not readily available then the Trubendz is the best premade kit for the buck.

Modifying the stock single exhaust is a waste of time really.

Thank You, Demon. That's just the response I needed. SVT exhaust it is.

When you get it replace the stock resonator with a quality straight through design.
