I don't think Mazda is doing regional incentives right at the moment. I think it's still $1500 dealer cash or 0%, the $500 grad rebate, and you can pick up that $250 Rev-It-Up Coupon too.

I guess that makes sense then. I assume they go through Ford Credit, too. Do they usually offer good rates or would I be better off through a bank of my choice? I suppose that's more something I should check into.

I don't think they use Ford Credit -- I know mine is through Mazda Credit.

I dunno what you consider a "good rate" -- the going rate for those with good credit is in the 2.9-3.9% range.

I'm going to look into it all this week. Thanks to everyone for all of the information though.

Promotional financing is 2.9% if you don't take the $1500 cash back. However, you can get a better deal taking the money and using normal finance rates (usually about 4.5%), if you have good credit.

Mazda has their own credit arm, which is totally separate from Ford Credit (one has to wonder why).

Because there's big money in Financing, and since Mazda isn't really owned by Ford (Ford only controls 33%), they'd rather not be giving them a piece of that big pie.

Yeah... but one would think they could come up with a joint venture where each gets their share of the profits, yet uses economies of scale to lower the costs of managing and initiating the loans, making more money for all parties.
