Well, As it turns out, front springs are covered as part of a Recall. They said they are covered for 1998 and 1999 vehicles up to 150,000 miles....so I am all set!
YAY!
I will just get them to put new strut bearings in while they are taking them apart! Saves me having to do it!
The only downside is that they take 10 days to get here, as they have to be brought in from the US.
Oh well........
