OP FlaXXMaN New CEG\'er F Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 39 Ontario, Canada	Hello All, I am in need of a pair of Front Struts w/springs for my Car. My strut bearing has been clunking for a month or so now, and it just resently has been getting quite worse. I finnally pulled a wheel off today, and discovered the spring is broke(Damn London City Streets! ) Anyways, i have called some auto wreckers and no-one seems to have any. Also, i am being told that struts from 95-97 Contours won't fit my 98...is this true?? Auto Parts stores are telling me they can get the strut, but no spring, and that i would have to buy the mounting kit w/bearing separate. Anyways, if anyone has any struts with good springs laying around, that they are looking to sell cheap...let me know. Thanks to anyone in advance!! chongo Hard-core CEG\'er C Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 2,017 Toronto, Canada	looking at signature ford's site the zetec used the same coil spring from 95 to 00. signature ford And the same at www.fordpartsonline.com What's weird is when you look at them some say 98-00 and some say 95-00. Green 96 mystique gs 4cyl mtx 16.9 in the 1/4 mile @102500 miles 95SE in Midnight Red MTX MSDS headers and y-pipe SVT exhaust SVT UIM Optimized se TB. Full pre 98 SVT body kit 15.741 @ 87.73mph :)

As for the fitament of various year parts? I'm suprised to hear that they won't interchange as I thought they did but I may well be wrong. bigerik Veteran CEG\'er B Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 635 Toronto	Hmmm My understanding is that the 95-97 and 98+ springs seat differently, so they are NOT interchangable. You can do complete assemblies in either direction (ie. 95-97 springs and struts in a 98+ or vice versa) but you cannot mix 95-97 with 98 plus parts. I would love to go and watch but i am going to Guelph this weekend. Let me know when you going next and I will be sure to make it then. Thanks to all who have checked this strut/spring crap out. I have my dads friend that owns Woodstock Auto Recyclers and he is going to Look into other yards around the province the start of next week. I will keep you posted on how I make out. I am also going to do more research on swapping the whole strut/spring assembly from a 95-97 to see if it will work. Thanks to everyone again!
