well i was wiring up the diamonds the other day and when i turned on the hu, the amp didnt cut on. so i checked fuses and both were blown. so i put new ones in and turned on hu and the amp started smoking. im pretty sure it was because i had a loose ground. but i thought the fuses would have blown again before that would have happened. any way the green light on my amp still cuts on but i cant get any sound from it. i opened it up and part of the board looks burnt and two of the wires have come lose. i tried pushing the wires back in and tried it again but still no sound. can this be repaired or should i just throw it away
by the way the amp is a jbl bp600.1

i dont think it would be covered by warranty. as soon as they opened it up they would know it was failure of proper installation

i know when i blow a fuse, i will try to figure out why it blew before tossing another in there....

i'd take it to a local shop and have them run an estimate on it....

The fuses probably went as soon as you connected the main battery cable. Sounds like you have the positive and negative cables reversed. I did that last time I worked on my car Popped the fuse, but thanksfully that was all. Checked everything out and realised my mistake...

I can't figure out why the new fuse you put in didn't just pop though before burning up your amplifier
