I decided to recess my amplifiers into the walls of my ZX5's hatch. after all was said and done, the PB15 and it's giant sealed box no longer fit in the car. I was going to build it a new box, but I don't want to have a box that big anymore. I would need 5.3 cubic feet to make a properly tuned ported box for it, and the 3 cubic foot box I already have is too much already. I'm looking for a tuned ported box around 2 cubic feet, probably running a 12" driver, should be enough for me. Ideas, suggestions, and most importantly, links are all welcome I'll probably just do whatever Dave tells me to do, but this will entertain me in the meantime.

How about something from Dayton's new MKIII Series? Either a 12" or 15"? Also, take a look at the Image Dynamics IDQ12 v.3 for something with great sound and small space requirements. I really like the v.2 I've got in my truck. There's also the IDMAX.

I am in the same boat- looking for a seriuos sub to go in about 2-3 ft3. Right now, the best candidate I have found is a 15" TC9 for about $175 direct from TC Sounds (they have other sizes as well). This model is the basis for the Eclipse Ti subs and is an upgrade to the Styke AV series which is based on the TC2. I have talked to a few of their tech guys and they have assured me that with 600-1000 watts, a TC9 15" in sealed 2 ft3 box will have amazing output and a serious low end.
Originally, I wanted to go ported, but the box was just too big. Not to sound loco, but the 15" TC9 in a sealed box with 1000 watts should get insanely loud, right?
If anyone hears or knows of a better option, please let me and the monkey know.

Excellent choice, Luke. I have had the 12" K, version 1, for almost a year and no problems at all. The v2's look incredible by comparison. Did you watch the excursion video? It's pornographic.
