Don't know any details, but I tend to shy away from anything with Fram on the box.

Since they cost over $40, i'm sure they are better than paper, they are reusable and washable so I suppose they are trying to be like K&N. I had a K&N drop-in a few years back, and it wasn't worth the $48 I paid for it.

I have both Fram Airhog and K&N (these are for the SVT intake) and can't tell a difference between either. I've have only test the Airhog so far but before I had the KKM and I can't tell a difference. They both were the same size and looked just alike, except the Fram was an orange color and the K&N a brown color. I will put the K&N in when it comes time to clean the Airhog but I will have to say that $40 Airhog compared to $70 K&N, you are most likely getting the best bang for your buck with the Airhog. Plus, for me it was much easier finding the Airhog (they had them at all Auto stores, and I got mine from Wal-Mart) and I couldn't find the K&N so I had AutoZone order it for me.
