hmm... and you said you tried new rca's right (aside from running a set from your truck to the amp)?

obviously, the h/u is grounding out somewhere other than where it shold be... so that's the quest we're on....

i'm not sure where else to look! maybe some others will come up with something.

The HU might be grounding out through its chassis. I'd also suggest pulling it from the dash and seeing if that eliminates the hum. If it's still there, it's the wiring. If it's gone, you need to insulate the mounting collar as it's touching metal and grounding somewhere.

Are you talking about the din sleeve? I have been suggested the following:

-Wrapping foil around the head unit
-Using shorting plugs on the amp's input... not sure what I'll gein from that...
