No, nobody has done air readings. If they had, then nobody would run a K&N filter. LOL! The SVT intake setup is definately not restrictive at all. I mean with a paper filter as well. ON V6 models, the mass airflow sensor is too close to the filter to use anything that is oiled for filtration. All that happens when you do use a K&N is that you bogg your MAF with oil and get erradic readings. Changing from a panel filter to a conical filter though does help performance and airflow. Thus the reason why Ford Special Vehicle Team decided to use a conical filter instead of a flat panel filter. Go paper and keep the original stock CAI. Maybe remove the snorkel. But that's it. The thing that would make the most difference is if you could build a prototype of the stock SVT airbox out of aluminum and then Jet Hot coat it. This would definately help to add cooler air. And if you use plastic, then use one of these.
