I can take a 02' SS and run a 17sec quarter with them. Does that make them 17 second quartermile beasts ?

Also, I've seen several people at the track running mid to high 15's in them(newer ones...yellow/black). They seem to have the same problem we do..lack of torque, and unless you nail a launch(I know they have an LSD stock) you're not going to make a record breaking run.
I have seen lightly modded/gutted going mid 14's while I was going 14.7-14.8.
Still cool little cars and good for autox.
Remember that a great car with a lousy driver will more than likely lose to that of a decent car with a great driver...IMO
Believe what you want, the ITR is a mid 14 second car driven properly. And its not that hard, good tires and launching it really high will get you the low et's.

I've seen an ITR beat a 5.0 stang with over 330 at the wheels. It was pretty cool, though we found out later that the guy had head work done $10,00 by the guy with the fastest honda in the world. way not worthit in my opinion

i m not affraid, it is just a race. If I lose, than I am just living up to what everyone expects to happen. What thdy don't know is that when I get to race him, I will have a torsen, and spec clutch/flywheel. So this MIGHT even it out.

Doubt it. That's not adding much power, just helps a tiny bit in getting the power to the ground, if you want the torsen to shine, challenge him to a road race, that would be a good race....on a track preferrably.

Actually that would be worse for the SVT. The Type-R will walk the SVT in a track event.
Way lighter and better weight distributions making it less prone to understeer and lose speed in the turns.
All the Type-R's I've seen AutoX are DAMN fast, with little to no mods and average drivers too!

Yup, its kinda annoying with ITR drivers though. The car is so forgiving that they think that just because they kicked ass (more due to the car than the driver) they're track gods or something.
