 Oh my, yes SVT's shift 4th in the 1/4 since they run a trap of 89+mph. Since that is an average speed over the last 60ft or something like that, they actually cross the line doing well over 90. Your door sticker isn't what you want to look at. I believe that sticker shows the GVW when the car is fully loaded. The actual weight is much different. Anywhere between 2950 to 3050lbs is a typical SVT weight. Figure slightly less if you have a V6 non SVT and less again if you have a Zetec based Contour.

Oh yeah I trapped over 100mph too.
Even near stock took a shift to 4th at traps around 92mph.

i'm in a zetec...by driving like that i take it over the power curve (frequent trips to 35 mph in 1st are not uncommon...)

I had 164hp and 136tq in my Focus with the 2.0 zetec, and at race time with my 230lbs ass in the car it weighed 2670. Yes that is with taking out the rear interior. But i ran 14.0 @ 95mph cutting a 1.9 60foot on drag radials. The 2.3 is capable of going 14.9 with intake, header and exhaust at stock weight.

Actually the 14.9 was without the header. I believe he had his rear seat out though.
