9.6xx @ ~74 will net you 15 flatish.
Those 10's are not so good. What was your 60' times???

9.6's should net you high 14's easily.

For instance with a modified 2.5L:
I ran 9.63 @ 74.5 and 14.80 @ 94.3
9.60 @ 75 and 14.75 @ 95.5

That's all at a track that was up hill too. (among other things) (since fixed but it's still sub-par compared to an average track )

Our car is predominately top end charge since easy launching & traction are practically non-existent.


2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

Yeah I just had the worst weekend at St. Thomas Drag strip in London. I could not get a good launch at all, I completely forgot about tire pressure, oops 31psi. My hvac dash kept falling and hitting my shifter when I would launch, and the worst wheel hop you could imagine! I only ended up running a 14.389 @ 97.82mph, 1/8 was 9.356 @ 77.71, 60ft was 2.215, and oh yeah the worst reaction time ever 1.246sec. lol. Going to fix my problems and get my dyno tune maybe later this month.

whatd mods do you have to be running like that z rated?? those were some nice times now if you could only hookup

what is a good launch rpm and what is a good shift rpm?

i launch at 2500 and shift at about 6500


00 Black SVT: Removed res, kvr drilled silver cad rotors, c/f pads, 5% tint all around, kenwood cd player, 2 pyle 12" subs, 2 kenwood 6X9's behind seats 800w logic and 1000w pyle amps\ 95 GL MTX:needs tranny evo kit on the way (hopefully)

2500rpm! If I were to launch anything over 1500rpm I loose all of first gear and most of second! I used to launch that high till I tried it once at 1500 and ended up gaining a solid 2-3 car lenghts by the end of the quarter.
I usually bring it to 7000-7200rpm shift when I have my chip (most of my mods are for the top end power). When I don't have my chip I shift a split second before the rev limiter kicks in(6750rpm).

My main mods are:
Zex 75hp shot (nos)
high flow manifolds, y-pipe, converter, resonator removed on SVT cat back, Custom cold air pipe (goes in front of tranny), 70mm mustang throttle body, 24lb injectors with MAF, Fidanza flywheel, and about a million other small things, porting 'n stuff.

I had a few other problems at the track too, but by the time I got back to the track from my drive around town trying to fix everything the time trials were over!
