Wow all I do is release the gas cap and push in the nipple in on the schrader valve until the air is out.
1 minute tops!
Why run and starve your fuel pump!
Sounds like there's gonna be a few early deaths of fuel pumps.

Oh and I use FRAM! Never had any problems and my mechanics have been working on cars for 30 years (they also build race cars) and they see no problems with FRAM!
