When i first saw the GTO in person i thought.... Its a sunfire, wait no its not. It is a sad day when you can get a GTO confused with a SUNFIRE!!!!!!!

The day that I lose my vision will be a sad day for me, too.

Now I think the GTO was rushed to market here. Remember it's based on Holden Monaro in Austrailia, which is an old design there. I THINK (capitilize THINK) that when they redesign it there, we get the newer design as well.

To me the GTO looks like a Cavalier on steroids. Interior is awesome, but exterior is bland as vanilla ice milk.

Hey Sol Rosenburg, I think it's time to go up your eyeglass thickness again.

Does anyone else remember the glory days of the CEG where there was a high percentage of car enthusiasts? This post is pretty indicative of how far this place has slipped. I'm not sure when it happened, but we are on a downward spiral that is getting steeper everyday.

While yes...there is a similar look in the Pontiacs and the Fords and most everything else out today the GTO is just plain Sexy and Bad all together in one package. The new GTO is the most exciting Pontiac to come out since the '89 anniversary Trans Am with the Buick Grand National turbo V6. While I still love the WS6 Trans Am's and Firehawks the GTO is just plain sweet with it's slightly conservative appearance. It will be a sleeper to most non-Pontiac fans and will whip many disbelievers butt's for sure. Mods will respond very well and 400hp/400lb should be easily achieved...just open up the exhaust and intake! http://www.pontiac.com/pontiacjsp/gto/launch/
It sounds awesome now just imagine it with headers and a nice Flow Master exhaust

But hey...I'm a Pontiac man at heart anyway so I love it!
350HP, 365lb, 6-speed, Perf. Dif., True Duals and 0-60 in 5.3 sec not to shabby for a big heavy car

Werd. Not that I've been on here for a really long time or anything, but damn, how can anyone who calls themself an auto enthusiast not at least give the GTO the respect it deserves? Look at our car market right now, and then look at the GTO. Light years of difference. I can count the number of mainstream, affordable V8 RWD cars in production on my fingers. We need MORE cars like that, not everyone ripping into one of the best examples to come out thus far. Sure, it looks like a last-gen Grand Prix. So what? I guarantee that will change within 2 model years.
