SWEET! That is cool! Anyone else showing their car at NOPI??? Let us all know so that we can come and give you support! Keep this thread alive even if it is to ask if I have come back from my ride(s) yet!!!! Last year Ford Racing showed the nice "improvements" (drooool) they did to their Focus cars and what they had for the Zetec. I am hoping that they will be there again this year!!! They had a Focus with a 302 stuffed in it. No lie. I saw it myself. There wasn't much left of the Focus but hey, that is the crazy twisted stuff that I am always thinking about.....Do you think it is possible to slip a 351 in my Mystique??? I am thinking my frame would draw comparisons to a pretzel....but hey, then there are frame connectors! Ok time to quit it! But if..... Later Rich

I actually got an email from Nopi-man himself. He offered us our own meeting room and parking spaces for free at the 2003 Nopi Nat's. I say we do something this year, and plan it BIG for next year!! By that time the turbo's will be out in full force!

I drove down last year with the SuperStreet Tour, it was an Insane party the whole way... Give Aways and more.. I drove from Philly with some NECO peps(I'm a NECO pep too) The Drive was great...I plan on doing it again this year, I coupled my trip last year with a visit to my Parents in FL...(good timing) I didn't enter last year, Although I might think about it this year.. if I do anything to the car..(it'll be conservative)

Sweet! Chris that ROCKS!!! My sentiments exactly! That is why I keep posting replies to this thread to keep it alive!!! My thoughts on this....like I said before....let's get a big showing on this and rumble the gates a bit and then next year....... But the main reason to keep this thread going is to get the interest up in the crowd. I think we need to make sure to give props out BIG TIME to the people who are coming out of the crowd to show their cars. With the fact that NOPI is a prodominant showing of euro-muscle, it is time to show them that hey, there are some hardcore domestics out there ready to run with the best of 'em. I will be honest, there were LOTS AND LOTS OF Ford Focus's out there last year and very few Contique's. Of the Contour's/Mystique's that were there, few were of the Zetec persuasion and many were the SVT's. The other reason why I want us to roll in like a big flood is that when you ask about parts for our cars there, people look at you like deer in headlights......"ummmmm....duh what d'ya mean you want to make your FORD go faster?" So with a big showing of cars, you turn heads and hopefully change things! So Eric, I take it you are runnin' with SuperStreet this year too?!?!!? We need to find a common meeting place to get the caravan together. Like I said earlier, I am here in Huntsville AL and will be taking 565 to 65 on in to Atlanta. I have about 6 cars locally and some not so local that are coming with me. If you can make the trek, PM me or email me. My email is in this post. We are planing on taking over a Kroger parking lot near my house early in the morning so that we can get some food. Then there are four gas stations that are around that place so....we gas up, get the munchies worked on and up the highway we go......that is if I can stop liquifying my clutch at red lights  ooooooh that is a foul smell. And it takes more than a mile to escape it......geeeeeez L8R Rich

Yup Yup we have all kinds of cars showing! We just need to find a way to network everyone together so we know where everyone is! If you are showing and know already your location, be sure to let everyone know on this thread. This way we can make sure we come by and say hey! People going with Super Street are probably gonna go down the friday before....I am guessing....have not heard any noise. My mixed bag of cars will be leaving the Kroger parking lot here in Huntsville AL EARLY Sat morning and I am hoping to have some other cars to meet up either there or along the way so that we can all have a massive showing of cars headed into NOPI. Anyone coming from North that wants to hook up with a growing crowd of cars, reply to this message. AND PLEASE GIVE US UPDATES! In order for this to become the blowout that we want it to be we need to make sure we get everything co-ordinated early so that we can start pouring the cement! Has everyone gotten budgets together? Remember to factor in that last mod that you wanna do prior to NOPI and that all your testing is done. We don't wanna hear horror stories about how you broke down on the side of the road cause you spun a timing gear off! WOO HOOOOO! Hightower, When are you heading down??? Do you think it would be feasible or possible to make up some promotional shirts with CEG logos on em?? Timing??? PM ME on this. I have a couple of ideas to kick around. Keep this thread going! Remember this is a prodominantly import scene. Imagine headlines along the line of "NOPI Nats, a prodominantly import scene, was apparantly invaded this year by a bunch of domestics. Ford's, many of them from the CEG, came to NOPI......" You get the picture! Rock on! Rich

I'd like to make it up there, it's not that far from here either. I'd rather ride with some1 else(will help pay for gas) instead of taking my lowly zetec. So maybe some Florida or South Georgia CEGers would like to go up there and take me along(I could meet you on I-75). Just hope if I do get some1 to go with that I can get offa work and not have skool stuff to do.
