My brother emailed a congress woman in CA about this situation - she said there's no need for a draft at this time.
I don't think it's right to draft when the country is so divided on this topic.
I, personally, would not dodge the draft. I am not convinced of the reasons we're in Iraq, but I would go if I had to. I would ask to do something medical - I'm going to start PA (physician assistant) school in the fall.
Also, I'd much rather be in Afghanastan. I feel much more threatened my Afghanis than I do Iraqis in terms of terrorism.
That's just one young man's opinion.
