Mine was 12. It could alwyas be later though as long as I called my Mom and told her where I was. My senior year of high school I was dating a girl (18 years old) whose curfew was 10pm. That's rediculous. It worked out well though. 7pm rent a movie 8pm not watch a movie 10pm take girlfriend home 1015 hang out with friends

At 16 it was midnight if I was driving (cinderella license in MD) other than that it was whenever as long as I let mom know. After I got off of the cinderella license (1 year) it was whenever as long as mom knew and I was home before she needed the car to start her paper route in the morning (4:30am ish).

I didn't go out much, so it was determined on a case by case basis.
11:00 normally if just hanging with friends at the coffee shop. If I was going to see a 9:30 movie, then home was whenever the movie got over.
I didnt have strict rules apply to me growing up because I was a good kid.
I also didn't really drive much until I was in college because I didn't have my own car by then. I hung out with a bunch of guys all the time, so they always drove their cars.

Mine is 10 on weeknights and 11 on weekends (11 all the time during the summer). It would be later, but in michigan we have this law on the graduated drivers licence (stage 2 or 3) where the driver can drive until midnight, then can drive again at 4AM. So basically my mom is afraid if she says Midnight, and I am almost home at 12:02 she thinks im going to get pulled over for sure... yeah right... But those are her rules and I abide by them.

You lucky DOGS! Mine was 10 until I was 18. 18 it was midnight, but after I graduated 3 months later, it just turned to whenever, as long as I woke my mom up when I came home. Man i hated that early curfew.... had to leave many a good party or hang out becuz of it...
Saying he'd let his son stay out longer than his girl is perfectly legitimate to me. A son you can trust to usually be with his buddies doing their own little guy thing. A girl could be out with some guy at his apartment or basement doing something a father wants none of... I know it's sexist, but it's just a father's protectionary view. I'll be doing the same thing once I have kids, unless the wife catches me and makes a roar about it...
