Do you guys remember what your parent's curfew for you was when you started driving? I was thinking that when I got my license, my parent's had me home at 11, when I turned 17, it was midnight. Just wondering how you guys had it.

Oh yeah, I guess all this curfew crap I had in HS just made my first year of college really "fun".

I'm still 14, and on weekend it 12:00.

But, the law is 10:30

Curfew? That assumes your parents let you out of the house at all!! Unless I had a really good excuse, like church youth group or something like that, I wasn't allowed out of the house after dark. My parents were so overly strict that I still shudder to think about it....some 30 years later. At age 16, I can't imagine myself being allowed to be out of the house past 9 PM. It wasn't until I escaped to college that I discovered that life exists after the 10 o'clock news is over. So yeah, like you, I really enjoyed my new found freedom in college.

If I was a parent nowadays (fortunately, I'm not), I'd let my kids stay out to maybe 10 PM at age 16, progressing to midnight by age 18. I'd probably tend to let a son stay out later than a daughter though.

I've turned out fine. Some/many of my former friends, however, have not.

If I was driving it was midnight because of the restriction on my license. If I wasn't driving, it was before mom woke up in the morning.

Though a lotta times I spend the night somewhere else so that means no curfew. I could sneak out, but I don't really see the point, really not all that much happens in Albany. Places close at midnite and everyone goes home.

My parents always trusted me, I never had a "curfew", I just had to let them know what time I'd be home and had to actually BE home at that time. I never got into much trouble though..
