bad idea dude, I know you dont want to get pulled over for breaking the speed limit, but if a police office sees you "racing" anybody, he will see it as reckless driving and take more points off your record then he would if you were speeding. If you burn out your tires, Im pretty sure its also considerd disturbance of the peace and distruction of public property (how? we may never know) There is to many laws against everything, basically if its fun, its almost certain to be against the law.

its called exibition of speed, not destuction of public property, alrhough you could get slapped with that because it leaves black marks on the road...but so does eveybody else when they turn corners and s***...

Sudden acceleration, defacing public property, reckless driving, careless driving, noise pollution from the tires(although they probably won't spin with these cars  )and you can be ticketed for drag racing.

Sudden acceleration, exhibition of speed,defacing public property, reckless driving, careless driving, noise pollution from the tires and motor (although the tires probably won't spin with these cars )and you can be ticketed for drag racing. Not to meantion whatever illegal things you might have on or in your car. Street racing is'nt worth it as far as the law goes.

Getting off topic here, but that's what CEG is about so: Guy I know was ticketed for racing just because he accelerated while beside somebody else. The cop got him because of the cars him and the other guy were driving (civics with typical ricer get-up). The other guy pulled off onto another road when the cop told them to pull over and when the cop followed the guy I know, the other guy just left. But they weren't racing and the guy tried to explain it but it was useless, he just pissed the cop off, like asking "so when you're at a red light and there is a dodge caravan beside you and it turns green you accelerate, then you are racing?"

i hate it when cops do that...same thing happened to me in my old ranger...and i never even got a chance to get close to the speed limit (anybody care to tell me what the fudge you can street race in an all stock 1997 ford ranger 4 cylinder??? anybody???  ) at any rate...i told him to [censored] off and that he couldnt get me for racing because i never revved my engine, i wasnt excessively speeding and he was just trying to meet his quota... he then proceeded to tell me to get out of the car. i told him no, we argued and finally i said: if you can prove that i was street racing, and you show me the evidence right now, i will get out of my truck CUFF MYSELF and park my ass in your backseat. he said he couldnt... i said "alrigth then..and rolled up my window and drove off...he never followed me. 2 weeks later i recived a ticket in the mail for a blown brakelight...i sent the 45 dollars in and was done with it...what an ass...
