ok here it is. i have a friend i work with who thinks his j-body is sooooo badass. so i told him to put his money where his mouth is.
him: 1994 cavy 4cyl ATX (4door) -no engine mods whatsoever -18 inch CHROME wheels (weighing in at a rediculious 42lbs per wheel with tires/lugnuts)
-Ridiculous 1500 watt sound sytem; speakers(8 6x9 pioneers), amps (3 500 watters), pioneer HU, 4 10" cerwin vega subs (in custom WOOD enclosure) and wires. (all this for factoring in weight)
-leather interior (dont ask) -2 extra batteries -LARGE (as in higher than the roof) rear wing (steel). -Ricer Tailights. -erebuny Body Kit molded to the body seamlessly with LOTS of bondo putty. woodgrain (pretty sure its imitation) trim.
me: 1995 Zetec Sport 5 spd.
-K&N filter -9mm plug wires from BAT -stock steel wheels (will be raced without the A/M hubcaps) -Bosch +4 plugs -NEW tires (185 70 r14) -stock stereo (soon to be replaced with jvc or pioneer HU...undecided ATM)
CTA intake will be installed on mine at the time of the race. (im borrowing from a friend)
he still thinks he'll kill me...
i know ill own his ass, and i will come out of this $$ when i win, so i juts want to be absoultely sure.... thanks guys
Regards, Cole.

I hope you're doing this on the track. And you should kill him, especially with those heavy wheels on.

I know it sounds bad, but look to run in the 17's-18's, maybe 19's. Your friend will run over 20 seconds for sure unless he takes all that stuff out and puts on some 14" steelies.

Yeah ya'll both will be slow. Really your car should be better than just under 12 seconds. I run 0-65mph in the 1/8 mile in 11 flat. Get rid of the bosch plugs, our ignition systems are different than most cars and require double plats (well single plats on 2 cylinders, might as well do them all). By double plat, I don't mean bosch plugs with 2 electrodes either. I mean either motorcraft or autolite double platinum plugs. I've seen a mid 90s 4cyl atx cavy with stock wheels, no heavy system, intake, and muffler run 12s in 1/8 mile. At one point he some how ran like a 11.6 or something like that, but mainly was running 12s.
