Hey Guy's. I just purchased my 2000 Contour sport last week. I have been checking out the site for some inexpensive modification ideas. A friend of mine had a 1986 mustang GT, he removed the “intake box thing” inside the drivers side fender, to get a few more ponies out of the 302 mill. I was wondering if anyone has tried this with the 2.5L in the contour?

Just remove the air box and replace with an open air filter such as Weapon R or K&N. Lots of improvement with the filter change.
Weapon R is about $40-50, and i liked it better than the K&N.
