I've got a few friends heading down on Sunday at noon.

Last year when we went I felt like we didn't have enough time on the test tracks. It just felt rushed. I'm planning on getting there a little early this time so we can have some extra play time

Good job with the 28.2! Thats real fast.

Sue and I had a blast. Sue dis really well, she kept getting consistantly faster on everything. It was real cold and moist early. I set a few records on the skill courses. On my first run on the track I pulled a 39 (nailed the three cones right at the last slalom marker at the finish). My second run I got a 31.4. Considering the two guys I was with hit 31 consistantly (one autocrosses a miata and the other, an STI) I felt pretty confident.

I was not impressed with the Mazda3, a better choice IMHO than the Focus or a Cavalier, but I enjoyed the push of the Mazda6 in the Tire adhesion skill session.

After driving ther Mazdaspeed Miata, I am seriously considering the installation of a turbo or supercharger next year in mine. I liked the feel of the turbo, but i think I would like the preditability, reliability and consistancy of a supercharger.....

Wow 28 seconds is fast!

I guess I don't feel so bad about the 31.7 that I hit considering my only previous experience has been at F1 Boston and at the Volvo S40 event. And if I'm doing almost as well as folks who autocross regularly I won't beat myself up too much.

I didn't like having to wait so long in all the lines for the skill courses, but other than that it was great. I'll take a free subscription to Autoweek and be happy at that.

Hey Guys,

Just got back and I ran a 29.57. It felt great to get under the 30 second mark. It was enough for a Gold Medal, and 557 pts.

I really wanted to testdrive the RX8, but the line was huge, and they only had one running. Looked like we would have been there for about 45 minutes.
