That's not even close to my definition of rice. See: Honda Civic. That's a nice lookin CSVT. A little too much attention drawn to the hood, but real clean.
No, that's very much rice.
Rice means having modifications to your car that do dick all.
That hood looks horrid, if he replaced it with a normal hood, and matched the front lip's paint to the real silver of the car, it'd be cherry.
At least I can see how much clearance I'd have if I do my plan of a drop and the front lip ...

I believe those hood vents are very functional. The two Cossie Escort vents serve to reduce underhood temperatures and the one on the driver's side is straight into the air filter. So much for having modifications that don't do anything, huh?

And if he replaced it with a normal hood his turbo'd engine would run hot and he'd lose probably 10+hp in intake temperature increase.
Dumbass.

So other Turbo runners (like warmonger) who don't run vented hoods are big dumbasses too...

Apparently you were just added to the list.
Did I ever say you needed vents? No.
But they do serve a functional purpose.

My turbo Subaru has a factory hood scoop. Is the Fuji Heavy Corp stupid? I don't think so.

Those holes in the hood came way before the turbo, probably even before any sort of work on a turbo was announced. So, for quite a while there, it was just an ugly hood, IMHO.

My opinion is that the hood looks like crap. Did I ever say otherwise?
Whether it looks like crap or not, it still doesn't mean that those vents aren't functional, which was the entire friggin' point.
I swear, the ability to effectively read and comprehend is apparently lost on America's youth these days.
