OK .. I'm not an aerodynamicist (sp) just a 'boomer with a long memory. Another possible solution is to build an airbox behind the air dam and feed it from the fog lights. Then run a duct from the box to the MAF sensor ... similar to some 60's Trans Am cars.
Another possibility is a reversed hood scoop drawing air from the base of the windshield ala the late 60's early 70's 'cowl induction' set-up from GM.
Either way it would be necessary to figure out how to keep water out (or provide a drain) and it probably would be best to put one of those bypass valves in-line just in case.
