I know the s2k will get to redline quickly. That's not the point, I don't like it having to be at one million RPM to move. And yeah you can get over 300whp on a stock s2k engine, but not much higher at all, definitely not "well over".
And I've ridden in a 2002 Si, not impressive in any way. Wow, it has the same torque as my engine, which was designed over 10 years ago. For the money, there are so many better options. And from what a honda owner friend of mine was telling me (he has a pretty quick hatch, 8.9 in 1/8 mile) the new Si's are gonna be even less impressive.
