I bet the limiter is more a function of the PIP (profile ignition pickup) than the EEC now, so changing the value in the computer probably doesn't do anything. Car's built sometime in 98 and after seem to not have the rev limiter removed with a chip. My theory, could be wrong.

That was my point though, that the regular chip I had ran to 7500 and the one from Vortech didn't... Mine's a 99...
