Well as some of you know I have been having some transmission problems on my 95 zetec auto.........The (what I think) solenoid pack is shot (not 100% sure my guess) and it would constantly upshift/downshift/pop into neutral then slam back into gear once my transmission would get warm....... Then I noticed the plug that is right by the solenoid pack on the top of the TRANNY.......and thought wonder what would happen if i took this off.......I said ahh [censored] it cant be ne worse than how it is.......I took it off and wham bam the problems are gone...... but the transmission is [censored] cause its good in P R and N but when I am in D or 2 It will stay in 3rd gear no matter what even from the stop sign and when I put it into 1st it goes into 2nd gear........So its like having a tranny with no OD nor 1st gear........ This causes alot of stress on the engine and trannsmission when starting from a stop sign like hardcore stress the tranny whines till it grabs totally...... I wonder if this will make the tranny go quicker or not........

BTW THERE ARE LIKE 10 WIRES COMMING FROM THIS PLUG THAT I DISSCONECTED OFF THE TRANNY

The wire you unplugged does go the solonoid pack. You have disconnected everything! Your trans will only totally fail sooner rather than later. It looks like your in need of a rebuild!!!!

I need to rebuild my tranny? Like cant I just put a new solenoid pack in? This I just need as a temp fix and dont see it being a big problem besides at stop signs which I will feather the gas then but when I plug the wires in it will act 100% normal till the transmission gets warm

If your going to replace the solonoids, I'd also purchase a shift correction kit and put that in - in the absence of pressure testing, etc.

Since you hate fords , sell me your ford for $50. and I will install the $25. part you need and have another contour. Your tour needs a shifter range sensor switch . $25 at ford. 3 bolts mounted on top of your tranny . Silver in color . New one will be plastic . Do not quote me on the exact name of the part as there is at least 2 used.

OK,
By disconnection the harness you bypassed the electronic shift solenoids so the PCM can not shift the transmission. You are basically in limp home mode (by default 3rd gear). The real problem is you also discoâ??d your line pressure regulator. Without the regulator you are subjecting you trannyâ??s hydraulic system to extreme pressures that will cause it to fail for sure!

You can not trouble shoot an electronic controlled automatic by the seat of your pants. You need to run a full power train diag and hydraulic system pressure checks before you do anything else. This requires test equipment and technical knowledge of the ATX and PCM.

If you really want to try to shot gun it, replace the range sensor. Based on your descriptions it is the most likely component, the easiest to change and the least expensive. You do not want to try and change the solenoids with out a manual and some good tools.

Buy the Haynes manual (your going to need it anyway) for about $20. The procedure is in the there. On a V6 I would drain the coolant and pull off the Rad hoses for easy access. It is near the connector you pulled off.
