Sounds like it might be a trojan of some kind. The link mentions using HijackThis, which we use at work. Just be careful, because we've found that program can be a little overzealous in finding "spyware" that's really legit.

My IE got hijacked a month ago, and I ran every spyware, anti-hijack program I could find. I ended up having to use WinXP lite to uninstall IE, and use my windows CD to reinstall it. -Nick

here's what i did when that happened to me a few months ago. it may sound crazy, but it worked. i just went into program files>windows>various folders and deleted anything that was newer than the day it took over. it worked and i managed not to screw anything up....

100% my IE was hijacked... was cus of some damn porn site... maybe not in your case! but in mine yes Solution: if using Windows XP: use System Restore and create restore points, or use System Restore to fix it

Safari is nice too, on Mac OS X I wish Safari was for Windows...

I have a 5 year old Gateway, with a Pentium III 500, a 13 Gig hard drive, 256K memory, and Mozilla Firefox works like a champ! I highly recommend it
