Yeah I knew you weren't making a blanket statement when you said that, I was just butting in with my 2 cents. I do wish I had the ability to get something like a Honda for a second car, getting 30+mpg like my girl's 4cyl accord does, sounds very nice right now. Yeah, I have been getting by when I had a job, hopefully I shouldn't be unemployed past the end of this week, or I actually will be screwed!

EDIT: I also wanted to say in my first post, as bare minimum as I am living right now, I wanted to agree with you that even I can cut back here and there to make up the difference... Like less eating out for example; God, you wouldn't believe how much money you can save by cooking at home and not eating fast food or restaurants! -Nick

I had a gasoline fight with some of my male model friends. It was a good day. God bless America.

LOL chattavegas.... But tell me you didnt smoke that cigarette after??!?!?! Who doesn't love good ol' Zoolander? As far as gas goes, hate to say it, but I just can't help from driving my Contour almost whenever I can. I am fortunate enough that I can still afford it without too much trouble, but I feel for those that can't. Don't get me wrong, it is still putting a bigger dent in my pocket than it used to, but SVTC driving is just so addictive.... If only I didn't have that exhaust, I might be able to cut down!

When my car first broke down I was really upset, still am. But, now I am driving my dad's honda while he's on buisness, and it is nice not having to pay $2.50 a gallon,Cause the svt sounds so good yuo always want to get on it, especially when you have to drive to school, and work and all that other fun stuff. though hondas and other boring cars are just no fun to drive.

I know all about that. Wife left on 10/1/2003 with 20% of our household income, wants child support (another approx $1000/month,) add in lawyer fees etc, and yeah, I can feel your pain. Compared to all that, I'm not really noticing the higher cost of fuel.

However, you can save big $$$ by cooking at home more. Not to mention I've lost over 35# by eating at Chez BOFH. That has to help a little with fuel economy, right, LOL?

I filled up yesterday out of necessity (as always) and also filled all my tanks for yard equipment.

Didn't have to buy gas today, both cars have more than 3/4 of a tank right now. I am driving a bunch of extra miles tonight though just in honor of the boycott (not really, I have real reasons for that).

On Tuesday I paid $2.169 for 92 octane in St. Louis.
