I put a set on over 50K miles ago and they held up fine. I did an alignment after completing this and strut/spring replacement. I just sold my 'tour with over 155K miles and it was driving great. No alignment or tire wear issues.

You need to drill the rivets out of the old balljoints from underneath so make sure you can get the front end up high enough to get your drill under the control arm. (Do pilot holes first... ) IIRC,BAT provided an instruction sheet with the balljoints. This is a tough job, but it would probably cost a fortune to have a shop do the work. Good Luck!!
