Anyone do any measurements w/stock airbox on a CSVT. I'm having a hard time justifying taking mine out. It just seems odd to take it out of the box and then construct a partial shield around an open-air filter. I'm happy w/stock box and a K&N(which needs to be cleaned in the worst way. After all it is pulling air from the wheel well. Has anyone gone from K&N and stock air box to an open air with a shield? If so, what the butt dyno say?

I think that the sheild should be installed but then remove the ducting in to the fender so that it can pull from that hole with the entire filter instead of just the cone one the inside. Any thoughts.
