A SVT w/o shield lost more HP with the hood closed than a SVT with the shield did. I'm sure that John will be along shortly to remind me of the exact numbers, but there was a difference, and it was proven on the dyno. There isn't an article or website on them, John just makes them in his spare time to people that don't want to or can't make them on their own.

I've been meaning to work with him to get make him a webpage for all the little HOWTOs and stuff he's written up to document his car. He'd probably include something on the heatshield in there if we ever get around to it.
