Wow, you're going to an amusement park. How interesting. And I'll make sure to pray for you since those amusement parks are so dangerous. I would be afraid to take kids there they are so bad. Next week, maybe I'll post my whole history of amusement parks I've attended. I guess people on this forum find it interesting.

Disney World is great!! Make sure you take advantage of the Fast Pass, if you can, depending on your Disney ticket as it gives you a scheduled time period to go to an attraction, shorter lines. One AWESOME attraction is "Mickey's Philharmagic" (I think?) It's a 3-D animation complete with sounds, smells, and other effects, good for kids of ALL ages. If your pass includes all Disney parks, check out Animal Kingdom and the Safari excursion with real animals and the ride where you are looking to rescue a dinosaur. Have fun!!

Way to be a complete a$$hole...good job. Probably just angry because mommy and daddy never took you to any amusement parks and kept you locked in the closet for so many years...too bad they decided to let you out.

Personally, I think its a shame that parents don't spend their hard earned money on something educational. Training impressionable infants to worship the Gods of Conspicuous Consumption is not my idea of ideal parenting - but to each his own.

As for my family, we make a concerted effort not to allow ANYTHNG Disney-related in our household. I'll go to Disney World the day Disney renounces its policy of using its movies and marketing tie-ins to try to convince my kids that they can't possibly be happy unless they have lots of material stuff and gorge themselves on junk food until they're morbidly obese like about a third of their peers.

Anyway, have fun and I will pray for the kids.

not everything in life has to be a stinkin learning experience.
Even God wants you to enjoy yourself from time to time.

It's all about entertainment not suckering you into teaching your kids about materialism.
You don't HAVE to buy all the stuffed animals on the shelf.
It IS nice to get out and enjoy some rides and a day of walking around a happy place with your family.
There's no sin in that.

sheesh

I think you need to have kids in order to know how insidiously Disney operates.

I'll take my kids to plenty of water parks and amusement parks without having to save to mortgage my house in order to finance these trips.

it's not that much more expensive than any local, day-drive amusement park you could go to.
And even the flight and hotel aren't that bad.

and thank god I'll never have kids. I'd hate to turn out ridiculously paranoid about their well being and the cost to raise them.
