well i mean the spec sheet says high pass ("subsonic") filters must be used with non-sealed applications to prevent over over-excursion at frequencies below port tuning. i am going ported and the recommended tuning frequency is 38.
so any suggestions on the filter??

nope. the tuning freq. is simply where the sub will begin to roll off. you'll still want it to play down to 20 Hz.

I've ran the 30 for over two years. For a while I took it out. I notice no audible difference in sound. The setup is a RF 800a4, RE SE 12, and a 2.25 cube box tuned to 35hz with 24" port area....

You won't notice a different but the speaker will play differently between the 20 and the 30..Either one you could go with and will be safe.
Or sell your JBL and get a matching Diamond D5 amp for your CM3's with a Subsonic built in
