I have had a Superchip for my 00 SVT for sometime now. Only problem is it hasn't been in the car. When I went to plug it in the first time the kept on dying. After a year of having it I have used it about one day. That was a pretty good day though. I sent the chip and EEC out today to have Superchips put the chip on. Several from the list have told me this is what needs to happen. It is going to cost me 60 bucks in shipping charges to get this done. But hopefully it will finally get rid of the CEL. Superchips tells me that I will have my EEC (with chip installed) on Thursday. This is yet to be seen, of course. Don't know what kinda car you have so I can't say for sure what I would do if I were you. If you have a 00 SVT with EEC code of XGT1 I would say don't do it if you want your car to work correctly without shipping charges.
