i am not married to either of my parents yet i have the legal authority to make medical decisions on their behalf should either one not be able to (divorced). all you have to do is sign the papers. takes minutes and is completely legal, atleast in cali anyways. medical i'll admit is diffcult, but iirc disney allows it. like i said if i were gay i would tell marriage to go to h--l and commit my own way. sigma, what about the rest of the laws that are based on religion, what should we do with them? i really think that the way this is all going down is the problem as opposed to the mere fact that this is happening. i don't know about mass but here in cali we voted a couple of years ago to pass a measure defining marriage as being between a man and a woman and here comes some joker (mayor of san fransisco) who thinks that he can do whatever he wants regardless of the law. i really think that if marriage were voted on and the definition expanded that people would not have a big of a problem with it even though they are oppesed to it. i will admit that this is not likely to happen but if this were done i doubt we would be seeing the division we currently have.
