ultimately heres how i look at it.....(analogy) i am color blind so there are a number of jobs i cannot have. the rules just don't allow for it for good reason. so i can either accept that there is nothing i can do about it and get on with life or i can make life miserable by longing only for those jobs. marriage as defined by law is based heavily upon religion which does not allow for gays to marry. look at the bible for reasons. so you can either accept that marriage is what it is and not engage in it or make yourself miserable longing for something for which you do not qualify. i am not saying that gays are bad or don't deserve happiness but why exactly would you want to be apart of a group that doesn't seem to want to play together. personally, if i were gay i would tell marriage to go to h--l and commit my own way. but then again....thats just my bad attitude showing itself
