Everybody has a different level of what is "moral" that is instilled by their beliefs.
Very true, but you'd agree we are born with some sense of a conscience. And just as eg.young kids sucuumb to peer pressure to drink or smoke or whatever, if we are exposed to morally-degrading things constantly and we don't watch ourselves, our acceptance heightens. This plays a part in how we are getting more and more shocking things on the news now; what was considered unheard of 50 years ago (not just gay marriages, I mean the crime, abuse, violence and lack-of respect) is always hitting the news.
