I agree with the first paragraph in that quote. However incest is not only illegal because of a belief structure (although I would say it is probably about 85% because of beliefs) Incestual breeding of dogs for example, leads to genetic diseases that wouldn't normally appear if they were bred outside the 'family'. It's a genetic fact that a gene pool that is lessened by inbreeding will bring out more occurances, and more severe defects in the offspring. It has happened in Russia and England where the royal families maried within themselves time and time again, until they eventually couldn't hardly give birth to normal children anymore.

Even if they were, I guess that's just Nature/God/whomever just telling us that our time here is up. It's not like by outlawing homosexual marriage you're somehow going to prevent the birth of homosexual children.



LOL, no I am by no means implying that I am worried about a whole generation of gay children bringing the end to our society.

I do see the other side of the table on this argument, and can see how people's rationalizations or their pro-gay marriage stances are valid, however, I still do not agree with it.

I am also not trying to prevent homosexuality, you're right it will happen no matter what. Whether you are born with a 'gay gene' or it's a decision doesn't matter, it will happen no matter if the marriage is legalized or not.
