#1. So I need to redo my tranny within the next few months. I have 82,000 miles on the original SVT clutch. I am tempted to buy the same thing to replace it especially after hearing horror stories of some of the aftermarket ones.

#2. What is the typical price to have the tranny swapped? I want to have a shop take one out and put another in....no work on the actual tranny cause I'll have that done elsewhere.

#3. Would I be better off just buying a 2000 Cougar tranny and a new diff and swapping it out without putting all the money into a car that is 7 years old?

I'd like to hear your thoughts.

1. IMO, if you're happy with OEM clutch, stick with it.

2./3. Why not just replace/upgrade the synchros, shift forks from Bill Jenkins? (Unless you can find a 2000 tranny with low miles...) Then drop a Quaife/Torsen in while it's all apart?
