It's a well-known secret that StateFarm has the best rates. I hope they last, quite a few people jumping ship.
You have ot have your car insured with them as well to get a policy though.

Yeah, that's whay my bike riding friends tell me. They said state farm doesn't classify by CC. Only problem (to me anyways) is that state farm auto insurance is often higher than others. We went to libery mutual because state farm was too high on my mom's new car. Liberty mutual seems pretty good too. When I got a quote, when I was 17, on a new (so I would assume she checked for full coverage since I would obviously be financing) ninja 500, it was less than $700 a year. Of course it would jump up a good bit on a higher CC bike, but still, under $700 for a 17 year old is real good. Now only if my mom had let me get the bike. (Yes I would have taken courses, etc. yes I know it's dangerous, but life is full of dangers anyways)

I'm 23, less than stellar record, and pay $28 a month to insure my Daytona.
My GS500 cost $16 per month.
Both of those DO NOT include collision.
If I was to add collision to my current policy, I'd jump to $75 per month.
mB, try those rates w/out collision.

Progressive quotes me at $1337 again... $924 for comprehensive... that doesn't even have anything to do with my driving record!
Try Esurance.com. They'll search the nation for a great rate for you.

Location of where you live has a lot to do with insurance rates. I know that moving 2 hours away from where I used to live dropped my car insurance by almost 1/2.
I am expecting to pay out the a$$ for my bike though, because I'm going to have a lien on it, and it'll be new. So I'll have to have full coverage on a new bike.

I don't know if this applies to you or not, but if I finance less than 5K, I don't need full coverage. Sure, it requires a bigger down payment and if you wreck it, you're screwed, but it is an option here. You might want to look into that.
