Gee, I guess you're right to compare a several week old start-up to an established show like that of Rush who's been around forever in media terms.
So how often do Rush, Hannity and Savage appear on wide spectrum shows with a mix of articulate guests like The McLaughlin Group? Could they hold up in such a format?
That Rush and Hannity have a core of listeners that's "big" in AM radio terms: do you mean to suggest that makes them or their listeners mainstream and in the middle?
Are you even old enough to remember William F. Buckley, Jr.? If you are, then I ask you: doesn't Hannity embarass himself in comparison to the standard set by Bill Buckley?
And can we agree: Mr. Colmes will never be confused with Daniel Patrick Moynihan, whose IQ was "perhaps" over 80 despite his being a democrat.
From my viewpoint, Hannity and Colmes are BOTH weak for their causes. That Hannity fans like him does not favorably impress me about his fans.
