true. however being arrogant, irrespective of, and abnoxious about imposing your will threatens pretty much everyone to an extent. even the meager "coalition" we have supporting us in the middle east has been shaky at times. we need more of their help whether we want to admit it or not.

in order to sustain support for the war people have to remain convinced that we're doing the right thing in iraq. although i think the policy is hypocritical and i don't believe that iraq was strategically the next best target after afghanistan, everyone knew that finding wmds was inevitable. ...at least we knew where most of the wmds were before operation enduring freedom. securing the alledged stockpiles of wmds didn't seem as well planned or executed as other objectives.
