Actually, the base model Ford Escape comes with a 2.0L 4-cyl Zetec - sound familiar? The V6 is an option but, like the Cougar, so many more seem to have been sold with the V6 than the 4-cyl that people are shocked to see a Zetec under the hood sometimes.
