First of all, the engine is running extremely rich. It constantly backfires. The engine runs alright and holds an idle fine when cold but after it runs for about 15 minutes and warms up, it has a hard time holding an idle. I constantly have to keep giving it gas when the clutch is in just to keep it running. There is absolutely no power either. Im guessing I'm pushing 50-60 hp tops, which is partly due to the compression, lack of tune, and only 4 psi. While cruising around town friday there was constant surging under light acceleration. During this surging phase, even if i put the gas pedal to the floor, RPM's dont raise or anything. I just keep going along at the same speed and RPM. It's as if throttle position is irrelevant. Eventually the car will kick back into "normal" mode and it will have power again, but this alternates back and forth. Only thing ive guessed is that I know that timing has been pulled from the chip from Street Flight. Perhaps, once the engine warms up, more timing is pulled and the engine just starts to run like crap?
Im sure running rich doesnt help either. Any thoughts from anyone?
