I was opening my sunroof today and it moved maybe two inches and then stopped and made a humming sound.. Does anyone know what this could be?? And if so tell me how to fix it maybe a new motor or something??? Thanks

Very common and very annoying problem with ours cheap sunroof motors. The plastic gear inside melted. You will need a new motor ($200+) There are a few members here that are working on a new gear design but nothing is finished yet. Mine is out of commission at the moment too.....second motor now in 3 years.
