I don't get it can an Si beat a SVT. Club Si seems to believe they can take on the world. Not all the members but a-lot of them there stories for some reason always end up in they won by 3-4 car lengths. And the only mods a-lot of them have is just an intake and exhaust. If the SVT and the Si are modded the same or if both are stock it's my opinion the SVT would win every time. I could fully understand an Si with headers and a supercharger,or N.O.S.,or turbo whipping on some pretty fast cars but come on those cars can't be all that.

I ran with a stock SI in my SE. He gained in 3rd but I hit my rev limiter from 1st to 2nd. We had to shut down because of traffic but he was 1/2 on me. They are only 160hp stock but a lot lighter than a Tour. In exhaust and intake should make 10hp I would guess on both. I don't think an SVT stock will lose to a modded SI. Anyone of of them suckers wanna run send them my way. I'll meet em within reasonable distance. Only if they are mildly modded though. I know of one over in Grand Haven that is neting 202 hp at the wheels! That's with an expensive engine build up though. Toda cams and all the Type-R goodines.

Yeah I don't get it I ran with one on the feeder near work. I was doing 40 in 4th and he came up to the right of me and reved it up a bit. I looked at him and as soon as I did he took off. So I punched it he was about half a car ahead of me by the time I reacted. The entrance to the freeway is a two lane and has a slight elevation. Needless to say going up that overpass I started to pull on him real quick.By the way I dropped it in 2nd gear when I was at 40mph that got me to 60 pretty quick then to 3rd and by 3rd gear he was in my rearview.If my reaction hadn't been so damn slow I would have stompped a mudhole in his a$$.

I'm surprised that infuryum isn't here defending the Si badge

On paper the SVT is faster, but on the streets it's a totally different story. Depending on which mag you read the Si and SVT are close in both 0-60 and 1/4mile times. I know of a couple of local Si's that could give you a run for your money, could be the car, could be the driver?

Remember, the mag numbers don't matter jack when your sitting at a light about to turn green, in the middle of nowhere against you opponent whether it be a Si, GTP, etc. That's the beauty of street racing (not that I'm condoning it :)) anyone can win

From the way they talk it would seem the Si I raced let me win. YEAH RIGHT!!!! I can still hear his engine reving so high I thought it was going to explode. LOL

Ok I used to own a Si it had a intake and a catback exhaust (flowmaster deltaflow) with a 3" tip NO RICE it was lowered about 2"s Talk about a dog, well compared to the SVT. I am not dissin on the car but it wasnt all that. Those cars can be monsters with the right mods but a fairly stock Si couldnt hang with my SVT. But then again there are alot of things my SVT cant hang with....
